Win $1000 for the Care of Rescue Horses
The Equis Save Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the annual Rescue of the Year program. This year we are looking forward to recognizing non-profit horse rescues and horse sanctuaries that rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome horses from neglect, abuse, and kill pens.
Our Mission
It has always been the mission of Equis Save Foundation to rescue as many horses as possible. We realize it takes the efforts of thousands of horse rescues and sanctuaries across the country to achieve that. Through the Rescue of the Year program, we hope to recognize these amazing rescues and sanctuaries that protect horses every day while also spreading awareness that rescue horses have a continued purpose.
How the Rescue of the Year Program Works
We will be accepting nominations from the general public through our website. Participants may nominate any non-profit horse sanctuary; just fill out the nomination form and tell us why you feel this Sanctuary/Rescue deserves to win the award. The Sanctuary/Rescue with the most votes will win a $1000 grant to help with horse care and facility upkeep.
Important Dates for 2019:
- Feb 1st-May1st: Nomination period
- May 15th: 6-10 Finalists will be announced
- May 15th-August 15th: Voting of the finalists
We will award The Rescue of the Year trophy and grant before the end of 2019. Follow Equis Save Foundation on social media for nomination and finalist announcements.
